Axis-Y’s PDRN Barrier Serum is its Most Advanced

Axis-Y’s PDRN Barrier Serum just launched, and it’s in a dropper bottle. The formula features “DNA-inspired capsules,” the K-beauty brand says.

Axis-Y says its “golden peptide threads” are the star ingredient in its Triple PDRN Barrier Boost Serum, along with Triple Berry PDRN, NAD+, and peptides.

The serum is vegan, which is what separates it from other PDRN products. Conventional formulas typically use salmon-derived PDRN. Axis-Y’s plant-derived formula is sourced from blueberries, raspberries, and cranberries. 

“Sourcing PDRN from blueberry, raspberry, and cranberry instead of salmon wasn’t the easy path, but it’s the one that embodies who we are as a brand,” explains Axis-Y’s head of product development.

The brand said it wants to prove the efficacy of a vegan product—and that it can compete with conventional products.

The brand says Human Skin Clinical Trial Center Co. in Korea conducted clinical testing. Triple PDRN Barrier Boost Serum delivered a 5.66% improvement in post-procedure skin soothing and a 7.47% improvement in post-procedure skin barrier moisturizing.
